Sushi is a MUD, or Multi User Dungeon for the uninitiated. It is a role playing game where players wander round a virtual world, fighting monsters, collecting points and talking to other players, many of whom are computer soc members. Indeed, the game is run on a machine in the Innovation Centre at the back of campus. The only problem is that people tend to become addicted and spend vast amounts of time playing it (termed spodding). You have been warned!

On a serious note. This is a game, and as such a leisure activity. If there are no computers free and people are waiting, you must give them up if you are playing games. This is merely common courtesy, but the fact is, people are at university to work, and you are stopping somebody working if there are no machines free. The university guidelines are that you should try to keep anything non-work to after 6pm (games, email, websurfing), when the rooms become quieter and the load on the internet becomes less, though if the room is quiet and nobody is waiting then use your own discretion. We have had a good relationship with the computer centre in the past few years, and without their assistance we would not exist so we would appreciate your co-operation on these matters.
