Connecting SUCS Apple volumes using AppleTalk

First, select "Chooser" from the Apple menu (click the multi-coloured apple logo in the top left corner of the screen). The following dialog will appear. Select the AppleShare icon, and the "Campws" AppleTalk Zone. Select "sucs" from the list that appears on the right, and click OK.

Once you have done that, the logon box will appear (as below). Enter your normal SUCS username and password, and click OK. [Logon Dialog]

The Volume Selection Dialox Box will now appear. Highlight the volumes you want to use, holding down shift to select multiple items. However, make sure that you do not click any of the check boxes, as this will result in the machine trying to map your volumes every time it boots. [Select Dialog]

Click OK to open the selected volumes. Once icons similar to the ones shown below appear, you can close the chooser. [Icons]
